Summary/Abstract: The study examined companies owned by local government through indicators and bankruptcy forecasting models between 2014 and 2017. The examined indicators were liquidity ratios and capital strength indicators, and the bankruptcy forecasting models: Altman, Springate, Zmijewski, and models developed for Brazilian and Canadian companies. The analysis showed very different results, but the statistical test argued that there was no significant difference between the liquidity and capital structure of corporations operating in different counties. The research showed corporations in Budapest performed better than other 19 county corporations.
