The British on Stojadinović and Munich

Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the analyses made by the British diplomats of the policy of Prince Pavel and the Prime Minister Stojadinović towards the Czechoslovakian Republic,, as well as with the position of Czechoslovakia before the Munich Agreement in 1938. The British Government opposed the French and Czechoslovakian plans to remove Stojadinović. The British assessment of Stojadinović was realistic and often contrary to the French. The Foreign Office believed that the removal of Stojadinović would in no way lead to possible changes in Yugoslav foreign policy. All the moves of Stojadinović government before and after the Munich Agreement were carefully analysed.
