Summary/Abstract: The result of the IT revolution that has been going on in recent years has become the emergenceof an information society. This society is capable not only of creating, but above all, oftransforming knowledge resources. In the situation of limited access to information, the finalrecipients of health services seek actively such knowledge. The technical response of the marketto the above demand has become the creation of interactive platforms that deal with the subjectof health and health services, including the assessment of the quality of services provided.Perception of quality in the treatment process, however, differs radically depending on the perspectivefrom which this process is assessed and described. In the case of interactive platforms, the evaluating party is not professionals, but the recipients of medical services. What is more, these ratings are subject to moderation by commercial entities that manage these platforms. This creates the risk of falsifying the assessment due to both the lack of full knowledge aboutthe therapeutic processes and all its aspects by the evaluating party, as well as the possibility ofpreferring some entities than others by the moderators of a particular portal. Therefore, the presenceof the medical entity on interactive portals devoted to health issues is primarily an elementof marketing policy, of which the final recipients of health services should be aware. However, the priority for healthcare entities should be pro-quality activities not based on marketing, butabout reliable information policy and transparency in the field of statistical treatment results.
