The image of the old age and the integrational learning experiences of the young.

Summary/Abstract: Research about the old age has received great attention in Europe in the past few decades. Research about the problems arising in society concerning adult education are getting very important. This paper presents how young people see elderly people and how they prepare for active ageing. It also shows attitudes of young people toward elderly people. Furthermore, it contains examples for an active life in communities at old age. These elderly people are models for young people. This paper also contains the results of a survey based on questionnaires which were distributed to elderly peo-ple and included questions about their free time activities and learning opportunities.
