Summary/Abstract: Christianity could not develop and overspread seriously before the Emperor Constantine I (273- 337) because of pressure on it. He embraced Christianity and this toleration caused to fade ingrained pagan tradition over time. Although he acted as a Christian, his conversion into Christianity is a controversial topic. This article aims to deal with the arguments about this issue and to evaluate them in the light of the politics followed by the Emperor Constantine in favor of Christianity.
