Summary/Abstract: J.S. Bach`s Partitas have always aroused the interest of pianists, they are often performed in concerts and quite actively recorded. Among the best recordings of the Soviet era are the performances of A. Vedernikov and T. Nikolaeva, later — G.Sokolov, abroad — A. Hewitt, M. Peraia, v. Ashkenazi. S. Richter and M. Greenberg, M. Yudina, K. Arrau and many others who played them in their concerts. The interest in the music of J.S. Bach has not faded away for several centuries, and is connected with the fact that it is universal in its genius, it is often performed by many interpreters and everyone finds something of his own in it.The Partitas were written by J.S. Bach between 1726 and 1735 as a suite cycle. These are original instrumental pieces that preserve the size and stylistic features of folk dances. The goal of the report is a comparative analysis of the interpretations of Bach’s Partita No. 2 c-moll by outstanding pianists — Glen Gould, Martha Argerich and Grigory Sokolov.
