Summary/Abstract: Teaching foreign languages to young learners is much different from teaching it to adults. It is necessary to consider not only their mental, physical but also cognitive development. There is a wide variety of the textbooks for young learners that offer a high quality material, respect learners age but still we try to adapt them, we omit and add material to make them more engaging, to make the material more attractive to our students, to tailor material to our learners’ needs and probably as Tomlinson (2013) names it to “humanize” them. We try to turn passive learners to creative thinkers. Tomlinson (2013, p. 140) claims that learners must be involved intellectually, emotionally and they “need to make use of their experience of life, their interests and enthusiasms, their views, attitudes and feelings and, above all, their capacity to make meaningful connections in their minds”.
