Summary/Abstract: The issue of this article is problem of connotative terms in Ockham thought. It usually brings to conclusion that in human mind there can be no connotative terms at all and thus arises suspicion of nominalism. The aim of this study is to show a real context of Ockham’s assertions concerning definitio nominalis and to present some discussion about it between V. Spade and C. Panaccio. Furthermore, we present a possible solution concerning of how it could be understood in Ockham.
