Summary/Abstract: Main objective of the paper is the analysis of a process of art-therapy asa therapeutic method that was implmented in a child of a parent with mental disorder. Based on selective encoding, the author identifies in the paper three categories, which are further elaborated in the hypotheses. The author points out to a child client whose holistic development might be further developed through the use of art-terapeutical techniques. In presented paper, the author offers description of the qualitative method of research conducted in the case study of a child whose parent is suffering from a serious mental disorder. Based on the narrative interview and the problem-oriented interview, the author offers convictions on suitability of use of art-factorial activities in a child experiencing and perceiving the unfavorable situation in the family.
