Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the analysis of the pluralism of literary-theoretical methods i.e. a combination of phenomenological, semiotic and narratological methodologies. The invariable characteristic of Scepanovic's narrative method in these texts is stratification of atypical, hybrid narrative levels, as well as a prominent functionality of the point of view as an element of composition, productivity of microchronotopes and leitmotifs – all these act as unifying elements of composition as well as strong semantic centres. Narrative reality, described in the analyzed texts, has been mainly formed in chronotopes of a rural setting of a relatively small size, with time being adjusted to space. The chosen chronotopes are of a distinctively modelling nature. Dominant chronotopic structure of all Scepanovic's novels is Montenegro within which the author shapes lines of microchronotopes (cemetery, church, road, attic, inn, oak...) bearing a multiple symbolic and semantic function. The influence of space on the characters are particulary analyzed in the article.
