On the Standpoints of the Slovene Socialists in the U.S.A. Towards the War and the Yugoslav Question During the First World War

Summary/Abstract: The treatise, based mainly on. newspaper material accessible in Ljubljana, deals with the attitude of the Slovene socialist in the U.S.A. towards the war and the Yugoslav question. The Slovene emigrants, who had joined the socialist movement and had their own section within the Yugoslav. Socialist Alliance, a federal unit of the American Socialist Party, defended anti-war views until the entry of the U.S.A. into the war. After that they supported the war aims of the U.S.A. and the forces of the Triple Entente, advocating, with regard to the plans for a reorganization of Austria—Hungary, a federative Yugoslav republic.
