Türkiye’de Rekreasyon Yönetimi Bölümünde Okuyan Öğrencilerin Kariyer Beklentilerinin Belirlenmesine Yönelik Bir Araştırma
A Research for Determination of Career Expectations of Undergraduate Students in the Recreation Management Department in Turkey

Summary/Abstract: In this study, it is aimed to determine the factors that the undergraduate students in recreation management departments consider crucial in career choice and to determine the factors that affect career expectations when they graduate. The other aim of the study is to determine the perspective of academicians working in these departments. Within the scope of the study, 344 participants from the recreation management department of four universities are reached through a questionnaire. Of the 344 questionnaires, 41 are excluded from the analysis and 303 are found to be appropriate for the analysis. Correlation, independent samples t test and Anova tests are used in the analysis of the data. According to the results, a significant relationship is found between the factors that students consider when choosing department and their career expectations.
