Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present ways to create personal narratives about feminine corporality and identity with the use of social media. Considerations on the possibility of constructing identity, its variability and elusiveness – mainly in terms of Judith Butler – were preceded by a comparative analysis of projects in the new media space. Their authors use Instagram as a space for exploration, testing boundaries, and thus define femininity on their own terms. The article also focuses on the impact of cultural factors on the issue of the female body as an object of constant observation and the feminist context of presenting non-normative images on social networks.
