Summary/Abstract: The lecture presented in Hídalmás at a conference held for presbyters, is mainly based on the book of Henri Nouwen: The Way of the Heart. (Ballantine Books. New York, 2003.) The purpose is to evoke the spirituality of the Desert Fathers, grouped around the three crucial points emphasized and represented by their exemplary conduct: solitude, silence and prayer. By the citation of their wise sayings, a portrayal of the most significant characters is contoured. Inan overcrowded, too loud and spiritually emptied world, our days’ ministry may receive new strength from the everlasting hidden resources of the wilderness.
