Townships and its Adversities

Summary/Abstract: Townships are units within counties, that are the basic elements of Hungarian spatial structure. Their functions evolved in parallel with the changes of county roles, and from time to time they were ignored. The recent reform proclaimed townships the basic unit of central public administration, thus creating opportunity for solving settlements’s tasks in cooperation. Regulation grants a framework, structural build-up will occur gradually.
