Summary/Abstract: For those who accept the alternative truth, the circumstances under which the punitive labour camps in Lety was established are quite clear, based on the novel Black Silence by Paul Polansky published in 1999. It would probably not have attracted any attention had it not been popularised by Tereza Spencer in one of her articles four years later. The story she wants to tell begins on 6 December 1939. A windstorm hit the Schwarzenberg demesne and seriously damaged the forests. Count Schwarzenberg asked his lawyer to contact the Ministry of the Interior to ask for manpower to remove the trees that had been felled by the wind.
