Summary/Abstract: Тhe article is an analysis of motivs of Leskov's journalism devoted to the sermons of Paul Prussky (Vilkomir, Pisz). Using such documents as Paul's and his associate Prokofij's notes, we conclude about the paramount importance of "foreign" factor for Leskov's interpretation of Paul's activities.
