Summary/Abstract: The authors of the article have analyzed the role of technological changes in the labor market and how it influences the educational choices of future employees. Particular emphasis was placed on identifying those areas which are crucial for finding the job. The analysis is based on data for Poland coming from 2015 Social Diagnosis dataset. During the first step of the research, an approach suggested by Autor et al. (2003) was applied. It aimed at clustering the jobs depending on the intensity of the tasks they require and identifying the key professions in the context of technological changes. Next, logistic regression was used to obtain information on how the chosen field of education impacts odds for employment in identified groups of professions. The study revealed that people educated in such fields as pedagogy, natural science, law and social science, economics and administration as well as health care are more likely to find a job which belongs to the group of professions highly influenced by the technological changes. Indicated education areas help people to develop interpersonal skills and analytical thinking skills both considered to be crucial in the context of structural changes caused by technological development.
