Necessity or choice – towards the educational society of the elderly

Summary/Abstract: The ageing population of developed countries poses a challenge to State policy. At the same time, decreasing number of births increased the risk of negative natural growth. There is a shortage of manpower in the labour market. These and other indicators allow us to state that society will need its seniors in the public space. An extended life expectancy changes the perception of elderly people as an irreplaceable reservoir of resources of experienced professionals. This imposes a public obligation to conduct promotional activities in the direction of family policy, including elderly people.
