Summary/Abstract: Professional associationsas voluntary organizations of people, who practice the same profession or same commercial activity, represent animportant part of the economic and daily life of the Roman society. Apart from their business affairs, these unions have also a religious aspect – besides the worship of the emperor and the genius of the collegium, they also honoreda specific patron deity or a group of deities who protected their associations. In most cases, theworshiped deity is traditionally associated with the specific profession, but that is not always the case. The religious activities also include practicing common rites and common sacred ceremonies. In this paper we analyze the epigraphic and material sources and dedications, made by some professional organizations operating in Moesia Inferior.
