Summary/Abstract: Serdica’s provincial coinage production began during the period of joint reign of the emperors Marcus Aurelius (161-180 AD) and Lucius Verus (161-169 AD), and continued, with hiatuses of different length, until the period of independent rule (260-268 AD) of Emperor Gallienus (253-268 AD).Despite the large number of reverse types with diverse iconography published so far, Serdica’s coinage does not cease to surprise us in interesting ways.In the present publication, we introduce several new types, variants, and combinations of coin seals that have not yet been described in the numismatic literature. The coins belong to private collections (wherever possible,we have listed the coin auctions where they were purchased), and are systematized by the chronology of their issuance.
