Summary/Abstract: The construction of the church of St. Hedwig of Silesia in Brzeg started in the first half of the 14th century. After its edification the church was extended and in 1371 it became a collegiate. From the mid-sixteenth century served the Protestant community and was also a princely necropolis. In 1677 the church has been restored to the Catholics as their parish church. It was partially destroyed during the battle of Małujowice (1741). Rebuilt in the second half of the 18th century. From 2018, together with the Brzeg Castle the church received the title “Monument of History”.
