Summary/Abstract: Active participation in dance education allows children to become familiar with a range of values that go beyond these associated with the profession of a ballet dancer. The remarkable unity of a dancing body is achieved by harmonious development of a body and mind. The article presents not only issues related to learning and teaching dance, while emphasising the role of dance in developing the consciousness of physical personality. It also sheds light on a dancing body as a means used in understanding more complex socio-cultural issues of the 21st century.
