The photographs of the lost Mieczysław Barwicki’s pictures

Summary/Abstract: A summary reference to nine glass negatives (16 × 12 cm) portraying a group of presentations of Polonia in a crown of thorns and shackles (ill. 44 a-c – 47 a-c), painted in 1915 by a forgotten artist. The negatives were bought in autumn 2008 by the Collection of Photographs and Measured Drawings of the Institute of Art of the Polish Academy of Sciences. They had been stored in an original cardboard box from the Moscow factory of photographical materials Pobieda (previously a private company belonging to E. W. Zankowskij; ill. 48).
