Summary/Abstract: The article presents the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the speech of Martin Luther in the Duchy of Stettin; the event was organised by virtue of the edict signed on September 22nd, 1617 by Duke Philip II. The jubilee was celebrated for several days, first as religious holidays (October 30th – November 2nd) and later in the form of literary meetings and lectures (November 3–5). The authors of the texts were members of the Ducal Paedagogium Stettin (Christoph Hunichius, Heinrich Kielmann, Caspar Kholl) and other teachers who worked in the Duchy (Caspar Paffius, Philipp Horst, Gregor Frideborn), as well as other people who were skillful enough to write something in response to the Duke’s appeal (Daniel Cramer, Philipp Pitzan). The article presents the survived jubilee publications and emphasises the role of Duke Philip II as an animateur of literary life in the Stettin/Szczecin Duchy
