The Effect of Private Security Police Cooperation on Job Satisfaction of Private Security Officers

Summary/Abstract: Purpose – The main purpose of this study is to reveal the effect of private security officers’ police cooperation perception on job satisfaction. Design/methodology/approach – The population of the study includes the private security officers working in Bursa. Random sampling is conducted in the study. As a result of questionnaires, 702 data were found analyzable. In this study, the Job Satisfaction Scale developed by Weiss et al. (1967) and Private Security Police Cooperation Level Scale developed by the researcher was used. Regression analysis was used in data analysis. Findings – According to the result of the study, it was revealed that there is a positive relationship between police cooperation and job satisfaction, police cooperation explains job satisfaction by 21%. Discussion – Research results show that police cooperation has a significant impact on job satisfaction in terms of private security officers. In this respect, the activities to develop private security polis cooperation and the results of the activities are discussed.
