Summary/Abstract: The article presents a reading of the philosophy of J. G. Fichte as a philosopher of freedom from the perspective of seeing him as a precursor of the philosophy of Hegel and Marx. Fichte and his understanding of freedom are interpreted here from the point of view of Louis Althusser’s theory of ideology.
