Summary/Abstract: The article investigates two revolutionary approaches to the production of images circa revolutionary May 1968 in France. This study thus builds both on the theoretical and historical insights and highlights the contribution of photograms to trigger para-cinematic narration. By appropriating iconography of the grévistes and radical experimentalism Jean-Luc Godard and Chris Marker raised socio-political concerns of French society with in collective projects such as SLON. In line with the foundation of the Group Medvedekine, there has been provided the necessary audiovisual equipment to factory workers to reflect the in-depth look on their own working conditions. This initial period founding artistic collectives had an enormous impact on the development of alternative images of the grévistes and the workers provoking riots and discussions.
