Summary/Abstract: The article follows two aims, one explicit, the other implicit. In the first case, the article strives to address the possible role of what is called narrative identity of the subject within the specific interdisciplinary research field between psychology and philosophy. This broad perspective is limited by the question of meaning of life at old age within the context of the modern era – one that has been unfavourable to searching for the sense of life, be it through concealing its significance by accentuating the importance of self-realisation, success, or „one‘s own enjoyment“. In the latter case, the aim of the article is to become a modest contribution towards preventing old age and ageing taking up a marginal position in philosophy as well as creating an onset for further research in this area.
