Summary/Abstract: Enterobacter sakazakii (Cronobacter sakazakii) is a rare bacteria causing necrotizing enterocolitis and meningitis mainly in newborns and infants (particularly pre-term, low birth weight or with immunodefi ciency). The best known source of infection is infant formula. Among adults there are only a few reports of Enterobacter sakazakii infections. In this article we introduce 87-year-old female with urinary tract infection due to Enterobacter sakazakii.
