Opinions of Preservice Elementary Teachers About Micro Teaching Lesson Study

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this study is to examine the opinions of prospective teachers on a microteaching lesson study (MLS) designed to improve fractional teaching knowledge. The research was a qualitative study to describe the views of pre-service teacher candidates and was conducted in a period of eight weeks with seven pre-service teacher candidates. The data were collected with MLS Feedback Form after MLS application. The findings of the study included the usefulness of MLS application, easy, difficult and deficiencies, the development of mathematics teaching knowledge of prospective teachers, and the development of fractional teaching knowledge in cooperative work. Results; shows that MDI can be successfully applied in the development of the field and teaching knowledge if it occurs in a well-planned process at the right time with pre-service teacher candidates
