Summary/Abstract: This article deals with the issues such as social peace, tolerance and violence from the perspectives of dissensions (fitan) literature in hadith collections. This literature focuses on the topics such as preservation of the social security and peace, avoidance from violence and internal war, sensitivity in speech during the time of chaos. In addition, this literature advise people to make prayer, to worship and be patient and sincere during the event of dissension.
