Some Contributions to the Assessment of Boian Communities Evolution on the Lower Ialomița River

Summary/Abstract: The field research carried out over the last decade on Lower Ialomita River contributed to the completion of the archaeological repertoire of the county. One of the results of this activity is the identification of an archaeological point located on the Ialomita high terrace, about 200m west of Bueşti village, Ialomiţa County, on the DJ201 road.The majority of the artifacts found here attest the inhabitation of the area, in Neolithic, by a Boian-Giulesti community.Until now, archaeological research has not been carried out in Bueşti, the archaeological materials found here being recovered following field assessments.In this article we present the current situation of the site, as well as the primary analysis of the recovered artifacts.
