Summary/Abstract: The article aims to show the production contexts of the so-called American Polish films. Particular attention has been paid to the Film Production Agency (APF – Agencja Produkcji Filmowej), playing a significant role in financing such films. The author – using archival materials gathered in the Archives of New Files and State Archives of Employee Records in Milanówek – performs analysis of the APF expert evaluation system. In this analysis, he refers to projects by Władysław Pasikowski from the first half of the 1990s, that is from the period when he was not widely recognized (evaluation cards for the film „Pigs”), as well as the moment, when a label of a scandalist and box office filmmaker clung to him (Rating cards for „Pigs 2. Last Blood” and „Glock 17”).
