Summary/Abstract: The librarian’s work in the 21st century has not changed much. The actions to be taken to provide the reader with a given item from the library resource are still the same. The difference is in the way these activities are to carried out. A number of IT solutions are ubiquitous, also in librarian’s work. The article presents the possibilities of improving the implementation and supervision of librarian’s tasks by using free IT solutions.
