Summary/Abstract: The article presents briefly the fundamental ideas through which speaking, as language competence, can work as learning target through simulating, with students at the Faculty of Letters,Department of Applied Modern Languages, a job interview. The article focuses on formulating learning targets and depicting speaking exercises that help students prepare for a job interview. The text presents learning targets and suitable exercises ment to train speaking, through simulating a part of a job interview. The article approches practical aspects in teaching a group of learners with subsequently specific learning targets.
