Summary/Abstract: The number of non-saxon pupils in the high school of Kronstadt (Brasov) was higher during the second half of the 19th century than after 1914. Even though after 1918, when Transylvania became a part of Romania, the laws tended to block the access of pupils without german or lutheran background to transylvanian-saxon schools. But exceptions were made in many cases. Besides hungarians and romanians, there were also greeks, jews, armenians and a few others who attended the saxon high school at Brasov.
