Summary/Abstract: Trade is one of the types of activities that owe a rapid increase in productivity because of the use of information technology. The number of products that can be digitized (books, music, films, games) is growing, as well as the communication between the company and its clients business partners is easier. The biggest changes in the sphere of trade associated with the increase in the share of e-commerce in retail sales can be observed on the markets of clothing, books, electronics and house-hold appliances. A clear trend is also the growing share of m-commerce, which is defined as part of e commerce, which takes place with usage of mobile devices
