Summary/Abstract: Contemporary requirements of didactics and teaching methods emphasize the need of introducing new, better and more modern teaching methods in the classroom. One of the examples of positive practice is the introduction of interactive teaching into the teaching process. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, such method of learning and teaching has not been so widespread. Our research was focused on assessing the degree of representation of interactive teaching in some vocational secondary schools in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton. The survey was conducted with 145 students and 7 teachers with the aim of gaining insight into classroom and interactive classroom teaching and their impact on the process of acquiring knowledge in students. The obtained results require the development of a spectrum of strategies that would lead us into an adequate way of introducing high-quality interactive teaching in the classroom so that we can help children in adopting and retaining certain knowledge in order to be more willing to face the challenges in the future.
