Summary/Abstract: There are three constituent and equal nations on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina: Croats, Serbs and Bosniaks, and minorities like Romanies, Hungarians, Albanians, Montenegrins, Macedonians, Slovenes and others. All these nations have their national and cultural identity, language, customs, and tradition that are in touch with and permeate each other daily. Nevertheless, they all have their own specific characteristics, they foster their own culture, but they also receive the influences of the contemporary world and European trends in the field of music, culture of living, gastronomy, and adopt new words from other languages (Anglicisms, Internationalisms, loanwords, etc.). This paper explores the customs and traditions from the standpoint of intercultural communication for the purpose of a better knowledge of the neighboring nations and their cultures.
