Summary/Abstract: The article presents a short introduction to the problems of information overload. The term is understood here as a state arising from receiving too much information by the human body in the form of sensory impressions, verbal and nonverbal messages in relation to the possibility of their processing by the cognitive apparatus at a given time. Information overload has conditional and relative character and is the result of an individual assessment of the situation.
