Summary/Abstract: The author points out, at the very beginning, that in his doctoral thesis, Social Contents of the Function of the State and Legal System (1960), Professor Vračar defined and developed the concept of the state and legal system. The treatise was first published in 1965, and then again in 1996. The state and legal system has been defined by Professor Vracar as a linkage between the state and law, their interdependence and emergence during the process of the political constitution of a free social community. Such a concept of the state and legal system has been further elaborated by Professor Vracar in his book Methodology Review -- Indications of the State and Legal Integralism (Belgrade, 1994, 2001), where he established the basis of the theory of the state and legal integralism. Thus, it was not only a definition of a relationship between the state and law, but also a definition of a legal methodology related to the theoretical premises on the state and legal system, as well as to those concerning the integral method of the science of state and law. The theory of the state and legal integralism has not been properly echoed in our national authors' works, but this is expected to change. It means not only that the analyses of this theory will be completed, but also that the very theory will be completed by Professor Vracar himself.
