FIRST FIVE YEARS: SERBIAN TV SERIALS AND TRANSFORMATION OF SET OF VALUES IN TRANSITION

Summary/Abstract: This article deals with serbian TV serials. The author suggests that there are no serious scientific analysis of this genre, although it represents one of the most influential and most interesting phenomena of contemporary popular culture. After a short introduction about general history of serbian TV serials, he focuses on fifteen recent TV shows that were realised in the period after the fall of Slobodan Milosevic's regime. This analysis is above all focused on the set of values that is being propagated and represented to the auditorium, but also on the genre's realization, technical solutions, music and other important parts of the analysed phenomenon.
