Summary/Abstract: This work presents a part of research results of the project “Sociological aspects of multiculturality and regionalization and their impact on development of AP Vojvodina and Republic of Serbia”, that is realized with financial help of Ministry for science, technologies and development of Republic of Serbia. Multiculturality and multiculturation are seen as connected but simultaneously different ideas. Besides that, they are treated as open problems and not as final concepts, meaning that author is sensitive to high degree of theoretical and practical discrepancy concerning these two ideas. Therefore he devoted significant attention to defining of primary notions of multiculturality, multiculturation and multiculturalism, which are than placed in context of general problem of transition.
