The amendment of the Polish Code of Civil Procedure – the return of commercial proceedings and practical problems related to it

Summary/Abstract: The article is a synthetic discussion of the provisions concerning the introduction of a separate procedure in commercial matters by the legislator. These provisions on this type of proceedings will come into force on November 7, 2019 – pursuant to the Act of July 4, 2019 amending the Polish Code of Civil Procedure and certain other acts. The author analyses the new regulations in terms of their impact on the responsibilities of professional attorneys and the main objective of the amendment to the Polish Code of Civil Procedure, which is to improve the pace of court proceedings.
