Summary/Abstract: The study comments on word order specifics of adverbial clauses of quantity and degree as the analysis goes simultaneously in formal and communicative plain, i.e. researched is the bond between location of the adverbial its communicative value (whether it pertains to the topic or to the focus of statement). This approach is conditioned by the fact that important factors, defining the place of adverbial clauses of quantity and degree, are its communicative significance and the necessity in certain cases for it to be emphasized, but yet on another level – on the level of the information structure.
