Summary/Abstract: The text aims to present conservative Weltanschaung as well as the political doctrine emerging from it. By critical approach, we attempt to indicate both; the open roads and the blind alleys of conservative political discourse. For that purpose, the text explores the political thought of eminent British writer and politican, Edmund Burke, whose reflections have been used as an exemplar of conservative trends. Going over the ups and downs, peaks and walleys of his thought, we reach the integral knowledge whose consequences have left their mark on the whole epoch to this day.
