Summary/Abstract: I draw on a substantial body of theoretical and empirical research on networked, smart, and responsive devices in sustainable Internet-of-Things-based manufacturing systems, and to explore this, I inspected, used, and replicated survey data from BDO, CIO, DAA, Deloitte, EY, IoT Analytics GmbH, PwC, and WEF, performing analyses and making estimates regarding the level of supply chain process automation (%), benefits expected from organizations’ investments in digital technologies cumulatively over the next five years (%), and how prepared organizations are for data protection laws (%). Structural equation modeling was used to analyze the data and test the proposed conceptual model.
