NATIONALISM: AN EFFORT TO DEFFINE THE PHENOMENA

Summary/Abstract: This article is an attempt to interpret the notion nationalism in different way than it is usual in Serbian sociological and specially politology literature. Discussing modernist approach to this phenomena, which is rutted in Marxist classification of nationalism into positive (unifiing nationalism of XIX century'), and negative (separate nationalism of margin nations under Ottoman and Habsburg empires), the author insist on thorough perceive of pre-modem epochs ethno-mosaic which is useful to understand contemporary ethno-national movements in Europe and the world.
