Summary/Abstract: Main topics of the article are the working class’ position changes in social structure during the process of transition. Author conceives transition as a long and complex process depending on various elements of inner and outlier development. In the most part of the article author develops arguments for main hypothesis that fragmentation, marginalisation and pauperisation of the working class should be accounted for as a system conditioned process. This is elaborated through the sketch of changes within social structure and economy regarding the process of privatisation, as well as comparative analysis of old and new social inequalities.
